In order to provide the legislative development of the Constitution with the construction of proposed legislation, the Covenant of Unity in Bolivia take place on 29 and 30 March, the National Social Forum Law of Mother Earth in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
Indigenous Peoples conceived to Mother Earth as a subject of rights, whose recognition should be adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations, to ensure the care of nature and thus the continuity of life on the planet address the impacts of the climate crisis, extractive industries and the rampant consumerism of the economic system whose only purpose is to build without limits.
The Unity Pact brings together the National Council of Qullasuyu Ayllus and Markas (CONAMAQ founding organization of the IOTC), the Confederation of Indigenous Peoples of Bolivia (CIDOB), the Confederación Sindical Unica de Trabajadores Campesinos de Bolivia (CSUTCB) the Intercultural Communities Confederation of Bolivia (CSCIB) and the National Federation of Peasant Women of Bolivia Indigenous Native Bartolina Sisa.
The National Forum to be held at the headquarters of the CIDOB, report on the implementation process of the Constitution and its implications for indigenous peoples and campesino, intercultural and Afro-Bolivian. Also, make a thematic presentation of the scope of the Law of Mother Earth and its impact on policy development. Also define the mechanisms of occurrence of each of the organizations members of the Unity Pact in the context of participatory democracy foreseen in the Constitution.
